Ever since I received my first magazine last year, I’ve been hooked. Both on the top-knotch friendly forums and the magazine itself. JNC is a community of young and older enthusiasts alike. I’ve yet to meet a member on their forums that I didnt get along with (not say I agree with everyone though, lol). A wide range of all sorts of styles, trends, enthusiasts and no shortage of interesting posts and conversations.
Give them a try, and dont forget to subscribe to the printed mag. JNC is a quarterly magazine covering the biggest events all around the world (Japan, Australia, Europe and the US), with articles focusing on real cars, and real builds. Be sure to help them out and show your support!!
Finally got to drive my 2 year ka24det s13 project this morning! Sure, some things were jimmied together (note the gatorade bottle overflow tank and ziptie radiator brackets) but it moves, which means now I can focus on making it look nice again. Engine bay is dirty as hell, but what do you expect from a car that’s been sitting in my garge for two years with my grubby fingerprints all over it. Here are some pics for ya .
I’m sure there’s many out there who are unfamiliar with this Japanese toy. Kendama is like a cross between a hacki sack and a ball-and-cup game, which I admit sounds all kinds of lame . When my brother in law came over the other day with one though, as stupid as this thing sounds, I got hooked to it. Kendama started out as “Bilboquette” in France and eventually made it’s way around in one way or another to other countries. The Kendama design has been around in Japan since the ’70s, and kind of lost popularity for a while. They seem to be building in popularity in Japan again with rollerbladers and skateboarders. A group of professional skateboarders started the “KendamaUSA” team a few years back, and have been working hard to make the sport more popular in the states. Check them out!
Hello!! My name is Shane Bommerscheim, and some of you already know me!!
I’m not going to lie, I will be posting a shit-ton of stuff about cars on here. But this is also an opportunity for me to let people know my artistic side too. Cars are a huge huge part of my life, but the more important part of my life is my loving wife Anice and my 2 welsh corgis, Foxy and Ein. I also read alot of books, which I will be sharing in my blogs, write, and draw. I’m also into a few alt. sports. I still skateboard at the age of 22, and I also recently got into kendama, which is like a japanese version of the hacki-sack. Anyway, I will try to post atlease once a week, but expect posts more often! Enjoy!
